2020: Focused on Keeping the Global Food Supply Safe

Mar 7, 2019

Gigi VitaNo arguments that 2020 challenged our industry to respond and adapt. From COVID-19 to remote activities, and everywhere in between, we showed great perseverance in upholding our mission to keep the global food supply chain safe.

Your SQF team is appreciative of all that you and your teams accomplished!

These challenges did not stop our global food safety community from gathering virtually at the first ever SQF Global event. I am grateful to have met many of you to discuss emerging trends and share in our common goals. Thank you to all those who submitted global greetings to help celebrate 25 years of SQF.

You are all instrumental to the success of the global food industry and the SQF Program. I am appreciative of the global SQF team and hope you will continue to utilize us as a resource.

If you did not already, download your copy of the SQF Code Edition 9 and be ready for May 24, 2021 implementation. You will find our guidance resources online as well to help you and your team prepare.

We look forward to working with you in the coming year, to create opportunities from challenges, and provide safe food world-wide.

Stay safe and happy holidays,

Gigi Vita
